With a stunning history going back over 300years the Hotel Maximilian´s l is one of the most traditional hotels in Germany. As the place to be it is located on the historic and glamorous boulevard of Augsburg, the Maximilianstraße.
The Fuggerei and the main train station both take approx. 14 minutes to walk to, while the Town Hall Square and Perlachturm tower can be reached in about 5 minutes.

The 132 eco-friendly air-conditioned rooms are furnished in an elegant style and have a size from 20 sqm to 83 sqm. Choose between the categories Classic, Superior, Executive or Suite. In addition the hotel offers also a barrier-free room as well as allergic-rooms and apartments for longer stays equipped with a small kitchen.

As hotspot in the centre of Augsburg the maximilian°s offers “best urban kitchen”. The team around Head Chef Simon Lang skillfully realizes the urban concept in an open show kitchen.The “All time favorites” are available all season on the normal seasonally changing menu. Wine lovers will also acquire their taste. During the summer season, the terrace in the inner courtyard offers the perfect place to relax. On the other hand guests experience the vibrant Augsburg on the terrace directly in the magnificent Maximilianstraße.
Awarded with one MICHELIN star, the Sartory Restaurant is the downtown culinary hotspot. This “Salon Privé“ with only 24 seats is named after Johann Georg Sartory, the famous Chef from Augsburg in the 19th century.
Based on the French Haute Cuisine, Executive Chef and host Simon Lang creates intense flavor experiences. The fine selection of wines forms a perfect composition.
On the adjoining terrace in the courtyard you can enjoy an impressive view over the scenery of the historical Schaezlerpalais.
Our 360 sqm Day with an aroma-sole-steambath, a biological sauna, a Finnish sauna and a room for relaxation is the ideal place for recreation. A fitness room and a separate ladies sauna are also part of this oriental designed area.

Places of interest
According to the latest findings, the Fuggers were the richest merchants in the world in the 16th century. The fortune of the richest man of modern times, Bill Gates, would therefore not be nearly as high as that of the Fuggers. Whether Fuggerei, Fugger castles, Fugger chapel or Fugger city palace - Anton Fugger is omnipresent in the Renaissance city. But other famous personalities also come from Augsburg: Leopold Mozart, father of the famous composer, and the important writer Bertolt Brecht; but also Sissi, later Empress of Austria, grew up near Augsburg. One institution is certainly known to everyone: the Augsburg Puppet Box - home of Urmel, the tin soldiers and numerous children´s dreams.

Culturally, the following institutions in particular are worth a visit: Fuggerei with Fuggereimuseum, Bertolt Brecht-Haus, Maximilianmuseum, Schaezler-Palais.

What Ku´damm is in Berlin and Kö in Düsseldorf, Maximilianstrasse is in Augsburg. With its charming architecture, it invites you to stroll through the old town. The Karlstraße and the pedestrian zone offer a selection of sophisticated boutiques.

A 8, exit Augsburg-Ost - straight ahead - after the 1st traffic light get into the left lane. Get into the left lane after the first traffic light - turn left at the traffic light towards Lechhausen (Neuburger Straße), follow sign Lechhausen - drive over the bridge (Lechhauser Straße) - after the bridge get into the left lane and continue straight ahead - follow “Stadion/Kongresshalle/Landsberg“ - at the traffic lights (Cinemaxx on the left) get into the right lane and turn left towards Stadion/Kongresshalle - turn right at the next street - follow the road - turn left into Heilig-Grab-Gasse - at the end turn right into Maximilianstrasse - around the fountain and immediately right into Katharinengasse.
