Directly on the Polish border is the town of Ostritz. The community centre is located south of the centre, in the Marienthal district. As part of the St. Marienthal Abbey, you can explore the historic premises without doing a long journey. Browse through the homemade goods at the abbey market, follow the wonderful aroma from the abbey’s bakery, or stop off at the pub.
The conference hotel,Gästehäuser St. Marienthal, is housed in the former farm buildings of the abbey. The guest rooms are furnished simply, but comfortably. Arriving by car
via A 4 - motorway exit Görlitz: Drive in the direction of Görlitz, in Görlitz take the B 99 in the direction of Zittau with the route via Hagenwerder - Leuba - Ostritz. After leaving Ostritz, follow the signs to St. Marienthal Monastery. Free parking is available for overnight guests on the monastery grounds.
Arriving by public transportation
By train: via Dresden or Berlin to Görlitz, continue: by train to Ostritz/Krzewina Zgorzelecka (the station is on the Polish side), then by taxi to the monastery or by bus line 21 from Görlitz, station forecourt in the direction of Zittau to the monastery.
